Jamon recipes and serving suggestions
Jamon Iberico: Spain’s tastiest delicacy. Delivered to your door
Jamón Ibérico de Bellota is internationally recognised by foodies as the best cured meat in the world. Here are some tips for how to enjoy our pure jamón ibérico de bellota.
Jamón ibérico is best enjoyed as thin slices at room temperature. Take your time and savor every bite. Notice the nutty undertones and the smooth, butter-like feel. Our Jamon from Beher and Eiriz have unique intense flavors, with a notes of sweetness, created partly the aroma of sweet acorns that the free-range Ibérico pigs feed on.
How to plate jamon:
It depends. Some purists never eat anything else with Jamon, likening it to adding coke to a 18year old whisky. Keeping it simple, a thin slice of jamón ibérico on a slice of fresh bread is really all you need. For breakfast, I (author) personally love rubbing a slice of toasted thick bread with garlic, then tomato and a drizzle of olive oil, topped with Jamon.
On a warm day, you may want to try a refreshing plate of jamón ibérico with some sliced melon. Simple and delicious!
