  Beher´s products come from the Salamanca province, specifically the “denominación de origen de Guijuelo”, which means it’s passed the strictest standards of quality in one of the most prestigious ham regions of Spain

Spanish Deli primarily stocks the hind leg (Jamon), but the Shoulder (paleta) can also be ordered in from Spain.  There are 3 grades:

  • GOLD / Etiqueta Oro – This has been cured between 30 and 44 months
  • BLACK / Etiqueta Negra – This has been cured between 24 and 36 months
  • RED / Etiqueta Roja – This has been cured between 26 and 36 months

More about Beher

Beher´s Jamon is sourced from acorn-fed, pure-bred Ibérico pigs.  These lucky swines roam around oak forests, feeding on grass and acorns during the grazing season and are fed on a high-acorn diet as they are fattened.  They are cured in high-altitude cellars in Guijuelo, Salamanca for over 3 years.  Jamon from Guijuelo in Salamanca is renowned for its sweeter jamón with deep, round flavours.

Beher Ibérico ham won the award for the best ham in the world at the 16th edition of the IFFA fair held in Germany.  Beher has won a total of 22 gold medals at Frankfurt’s IFFA awards, including best company.
