Jamón producing regions of Spain
Spanish Jamons are produced in different, specific regions which result in different qualities and tastes. The production of jamón ibérico is strictly regulated. The Protected Denomination of Origin (PDO) covers four regions in Spain and only allows specific producers to use the following regional branding as part of their marketing and products. Each of these 4 areas have a PDO status.
- Jamón de Guijuelo (Beher)
- Jamón de Huelva (Eiriz / Jabugo Jamon)
- Jamón de Los Pedroches
- Jamón Dehesa de Extremadura
